About Jonah Hershowitz Licensed Acupuncturist
Jonah attended Wesleyan University in Connecticut; he then did four
years of graduate study including training at Pacific College of
Oriental Medicine in San Diego and a six-month clinical internship
at Chengdu University of TCM in Sichuan, China, and received his
Master's in Traditional Chinese Medicine (MTCM) from Five Branches
Institute in Santa Cruz.
From 2002-2005, he practiced in Centro Shen clinic and Ascalese
hospital, and taught Thai massage in Naples, Italy.
Since 2005, Jonah has lived in San Francisco, and practiced at
Roots and Blossoms, and at Providence House in Oakland. In
2010, Jonah co-founded San Francisco Acupuncture Group to provide the
highest level of acupuncture integrative care available in the San
Francisco Bay Area.
Expertise
Jonah is especially skilled in treating all forms of pain; stress,
anxiety, depression, and mood disorders; sleep problems and fatigue;
HIV/AIDS; and other chronic conditions. He employs a wide range of
